A Vets point of view
In practice vets frequently come across dog owners who are
distressed to find that they can't afford the treatment their dog
needs because they're inadequately insured. Modern veterinary
medicine means we can successfully treat so many more conditions
nowadays that, sadly, more people fall into this trap each
year.
The Kennel Club Healthcare Plan is a comprehensive and fresh
insurance scheme that both owners and vets can be confident in.

A message from the Kennel
Club
We constantly speak to owners and breeders of all types of dogs
and advise on all aspects of responsible dog ownership, including
insurance.
Unfortunately, although the majority of the dog owners we speak
to do the very best for their pets, we still hear a lot of
distressing stories about insurance companies refusing veterinary
treatment or stopping a payment because of a misunderstanding about
a clause in a contract.
At the Kennel Club we consider healthcare insurance to be a
vital part of responsible dog ownership and we encourage you to
make sure you have
proper, comprehensive insurance that will protect you
and your dog in any eventuality.
It's why we helped create the Kennel Club Healthcare Plan:
insurance that not only provides a high level of cover but also
directly contributes to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust, which
makes a difference for dogs in so many ways. It is the only policy
endorsed by the Kennel Club.
