Client Money (as an agent of an insurer)
We act as agents for the Insurer for the collection of premiums
and payment of claims and refunds of premiums. This means that
premiums are treated as being received by the Insurer when received
in our bank account and that any claims or premium refund is
treated as received by you when it is actually paid over to
you.
What to do if you need to complain
Please phone our Customer Service Department on 01296 611600 or
write to the Customer Service Manager. Should you remain
dissatisfied with our response, you may approach the insurer. If we
are unable to resolve your complaint you may be able to refer it to
the Financial Ombudsman Service. Full details of our complaint
procedure are given in our Policy Booklet, a copy of which is
available on request. Following the complaints procedure does not
affect your right to take legal action.
Cancellation
Within the first 14 days: You may cancel the policy by writing
to us and receive a full refund of the premium paid, providing a
claim has not been made. If a claim has been made then the full
annual premium is payable. After 14 days: You may cancel the policy
at any other time by writing to us and receive a proportionate
premium refund of any balance due, providing a claim has not been
made.
